Authenticate users with Desk
Carmentis Desk holds the user's key pair. Your back end can use it as a passwordless login: it issues a random challenge, the user signs it in Desk, and the back end verifies the signature.
Issue and verify credentials
Carmentis Desk can store verifiable credentials (SD-JWT). These snippets show both sides: a service that issues an email credential after checking the user owns the address, and a service that verifies a presentation of that credential.
Anchor and prove with the operator
A NestJS back end can delegate anchoring and proof building to a Carmentis operator through its REST API. This snippet comes from a file-delivery application where a message is anchored twice in the same virtual blockchain: when the sender approves the sending, then when the recipient approves the reception.
